Anonymous Content has developed a reputation for cultivating artistic freedom while maintaining a commercial sensibility. The company is known for producing adventurous, director-driven work, such as BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, and BABEL, all of which received numerous accolades, including Academy Award and Golden Globe wins and nominations. In 2011, WINTER’S BONE was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. The Feature Division has its share of commercial and mainstream successes as well, such as NURSE BETTY and 50 FIRST DATES.
Slated for release in February 2012 is BIG MIRACLE, a family movie co-produced with Working Title Films for Universal; directed by Ken Kwapis and starring Drew Barrymore, John Krasinski, Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. Also in post-production is FUN SIZE, a teen comedy co-produced with Fake Empire (Paramount); and SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, and starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, for Mandate and Indian Paintbrush. 2011 also saw the production of LOFT, a thriller directed by Erik Van Looy, starring Karl Urban, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller and Eric Stonestreet. Currently in production is U WANT ME TO KILL HIM?, a UK-set thriller directed by Andrew Douglas, and co-produced with Bryan Singer's company Bad Hat Harry.
The company also has a track record in television, including THE L WORD for Showtime, and more recently, THE LAZARUS EFFECT for HBO. Anonymous has several television projects in development at networks. With several clients directing pilots in the current television season, Anonymous Content is making bold moves in the world of series entertainment.
