Frédéric Planchon
Born in Lyon, Frederic began his career as a theatre actor, and worked as an assistant director on 15 Feature films before making his directional debut in 1990 with the short film L’ECHANGE, which won the Prix de l’Image at the Festival de L’Image du Film. This launched his career as a music video and commercials director.
Frederic’s work has been recognized at various award shows including the Masters of Advertising, where he won Director of the Year, and at Cannes where he picked up a Silver Lion for Jeep Treacherous Terrain. Frederic has also won numerous awards for American Airlines, Breathe.com, Vauxhall Corsa and Vodafone He continues to be a prolific, and much sought after director worldwide. In May 2008 Frederic won a D&AD Pencil for Best Direction for his commercial Vodafone “Time Theft”.
